Hello!

I’m Sean Mussenden, an award-winning data journalist, a veteran college professor and a budding researcher.

I specialize in the application of data science methodologies – drawn from a range of academic disciplines – to the investigative reporting process, and in the use of emerging technology and large-scale public information act request campaigns to acquire data and digital documents.

My investigative data work has appeared in the Washington Post, the Associated Press, USA Today, NPR, PBS NewsHour, Kaiser Health News, Slate and many other publications.
